Andi Kovel is a designer and master craftmen who started her career in Brooklyn at Urban Glass where she worked as gaffer to elite fine artists and designers such as Jeff Koons, Robert Rauschenberg and Maya Lin. She co-founded ESQUE with Justin Parker in 1999 and together they led a movement in glass by shattering the rules and redefining notions of craft and material associated with their medium.

Esque has risen to international acclaim, most notably named as Time Magazine’s “Design 100", today’s most influential and inspired international designers.
Kovel has designed projects and editions for brands including: Donna Karen, Ralph Lauren, Nike, Anthropologie, Bushmills, Marmol Radziner, Skylab Architecture, Studio Gang, Jessica Helgerson ID, Osmose, Wieden + Kennedy, and Design Within Reach. The process of glassblowing is collaborative in nature and has inspired award winning lines with Justin Parker, Harry Allen Design, Cedar & Moss, Geoff Mcfetridge, Emily Katz and Heath Ceramics. site specific interior installation and lighting include: Stumptown Coffee, PENDLETON, Sephora, The W Hotel Seattle, Doug Fir Lounge, Lumberroom, and Tribeca Grand Hotel.
